New Product Introduction Co-ordinator & Customer Liaison Engineer
Job Description
- To manage the introduction of new products and engineering changes smoothly into the production environment in accordance with Customer timing and quality requirements. This shall include the preparation of all documentation required by the Customer to permit product validation and approval.
- To help refine the NPI process in conjunction with the Sales Team, with particular emphasis on streamlining the feasibility and quoting process.
- To manage all incoming Customer complaints through to closure utilising the prescribed Customer response method, e.g. 8D, Monthly Pareto reviews on specific key accounts, Customer ‘on-line’ reporting systems, etc. Liaison activities will also include Customer and Sub-contractor visits where necessary.
- General Customer liaison on any other quality related issues.
Ideal Skill Base:
- Good all-round presentation, organisation and communication skills.
- Computer Literate (Word, Excel, e-mail, etc…).
- Appreciation of ISO/TS 16949 system requirements.
- Detailed knowledge of APQP/PPAP process, including ability to document FMEA, Control Plans and other PPAP requirements.
- Knowledge of Foundry processes.
- Previous Customer liaison experience.
- Knowledge of 8D corrective action processes.
